The Gospel is a Revelation

But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.  For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.Galatians 1:11‭-‬12

For a long time I was asking Jesus, what is the true gospel? Even after I was born again, filled with the Spirit, I had no idea… for a couple of years Jesus had to build up understanding in me… bring me through things… until one day, He opened up my understanding of what the gospel is.

Alot of people claim the gospel is found in 1 Corinthians 15… but those are just words… information… history… millions of people believe that Jesus died for their sins and was raised from the dead, yet they remain unchanged. They are not born again. They have not the Spirit of God indwelling.

The gospel is more than information found in scripture… it’s a revelation of the heart that only Jesus can give to a person. Himself. Seek Him for it. However long it takes. You cant find the true gospel written down anywhere. Jesus Himself will write it on your heart. HE will give you the true gospel. Nobody else can give it to you but Christ.

Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.
2 Corinthians 3:3

I love so much something Gianna said “you cant know God by scholarship, only by revelation”…. you can study and study and study (as the Pharisees) and know alot of information, you can know every word Jesus spoke recorded in the scriptures, yet never go to Jesus Himself for truth and receive revelation from Him… as Paul did, and as ALL His people do. You must be born again. You must have the Spirit of God indwelling.

There is nothing greater than knowing Jesus. KNOWING Him… intimately… becoming one with His Heart. To see things as they truly are… to walk in truth.

  2. Love this post, beautiful truth.. I see it everywhere too, that the gospel is to believe Jesus was crucified and risen 3 days then u are automatically saved. The devils believe and they also tremble (which is more than most people do). What is the difference? The revelation of Christ *in* us bc He is our Life.

  3. Absolutely loved this writing! It truly is the spirit of the living God that can reveal to us what the will of our Father is. “But the hour cometh, and now it,when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth:for the Father seeketh such to worship Him. God is a spirit:and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth(John 4:23,24). Love the passage you gave of the gospel being written on our hearts.God Bless your work in Him.
