The Judgment Seat of Christ

I remember being in the churches and hearing about the “Bema Seat”… or the “Judgment Seat of Christ”…or even “The Believers Judgment”…  those phrases are used interchangeably and taken from this scripture:

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. 2 Corinthians 5:10

The story goes that there is a place called heaven that has a city and mansions… and when we die we get “rewards” at the “Bema seat”… I had this picture in my head of like a royal knighting ceremony … i was picturing people kneeling before Jesus and being presented with rewards and crowns for their good works. Lol

I haven’t believed in a place called heaven for a few years now… I know that Jesus IS Heaven. Outside of time and space there is only HIM. To be w Christ for eternity is to be One w Him completely with no flesh in the way. I cant even imagine what that’s like to be part of God in that way! Eternal Oneness.

People want to hear “well done good and faithful servant” at the end of their lives for the works they do for God… but Christ Alone is the faithful servant… and only HIS work is good... I’ve heard Charlene share before, in the end, nobody gets their own crown. Lol. It’s all Him.

I am understanding more and more that all prophecy is fufilled when a person is born again… here and now… Gianna shared that prophecy is the promise of God… it is the revealing of Gods Heart… it’s His Spirit in us revealing mysteties… words of truth from Gods Heart that build His Kingdom in the heart of a person… the Testimony of Jesus is the Spirit of Prophecy… For me, I was born again 4 years after Jesus revealed Himself to me. He drew me to Him and I had to seek after Him. I sought Him 4 years for the baptism of His Spirit after He revealed Himself to me, never wanting anything fake… He had to show me the truth about myself to bring me to a place of humility in my heart that I could even receive His Spirit…

… but… I digress…

Early last year I started asking Jesus to teach me about the cross. It’s like that’s all I want to know about most of the time and that’s all I think about. I ask Jesus constantly to reveal in me the mysteries of the kingdom and of the cross and to give me understanding. Little by little He builds us up in His understanding.

I think about the moment I was born again constantly… that place in Spirit Jesus caught me up to… what exactly happened to me?… where was it? when was it?… constantly asking Jesus to reveal more of these mysteries… it’s like going down a rabbit hole that never ends… there is ALWAYS more to what He reveals… always.

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. 2 Corinthians 5:10

The greek word for judgment in that verse is “bema”… it means a raised place mounted by steps/ a platform, tribune/ of the official seat of a judge… and is also translated as “throne”.

The harlot system has their own “bema” seats… In Jewish synagogues, the “Bema” or “Bimah” is where the weekly Torah portion is read… in most churches, the pastor stands at the “bema”… or podium… a raised place where he teaches from… the Catholics have the pope’s throne.

The Cross is the Judgment Seat of Christ.

We must all appear there on the cross (crucified with Christ)… all of our good deeds and bad deeds mean nothing when we come to the cross. They will ALL be crucified with Christ… both the good and the bad. Nothing from this body of death in our own flesh counts for anything in Christ… only what Christ does IN us is accepted. Only He is good. His Spirit poured out is our reward. His Spirit is His Justice… changing the heart of man into the Heart of God. Its HIM!

We are “caught up” or “raptured” to the cross into the death of adam… all of our good deeds and bad deeds are put to death and where Gods Spirit is poured out into us. We are raised up, resurrected, to sit in heavenly places in Christ.

I believe that the cross is an eternal moment in time.

Christ is our reward. The cross is Gods judgment for all of mankind… for the good and the bad we have done, there is only the cross.
