The Laying on of Hands

I came out of a church that really focused on physical healing. They spent so much time praying for that. Putting their hands on people and chanting in “tongues”. They were so focused on the flesh. I dont remember anyone ever actually getting healed of anything though. When I was there anytime anyone put their hands on me I would always pray that Jesus would protect me. I didnt want anything not of Him.

When I was born again, Jesus began to teach me about being raised from the dead, cleansing lepers, healing the sick, casting out demons, etc… this all happens when a person is born again. It’s not a literal flesh interpretation. It happens in the Spirit. Last year Jesus told me everything in scripture was spiritual. I didnt really understand what that meant at the time. I didnt realize how literally everything is a picture of being born again. The New Covenant. What Christ does IN you.

What I’m about to write is prolly gonna offend a lot of people. You can ask Jesus about it. Jesus didnt come to heal your flesh. He came to put His Spirit in you so that you would be healed spiritually and made whole. I absolutely believe that Jesus is able to heal people physically and that He does at times. But that’s not what it means to be healed. Every person Jesus healed when He walked the earth was a prophecy of what He does when a person is born again in the Spirit.

A couple of years ago, Jesus let me know that He doesnt share His Glory with any person. Ever. He doesn’t share it with any person praying for healing or deliverance. Not one. Not ever. Christ is the Healer. Christ is the Deliverer. Alone. He wants His people to know WHERE their healing comes from.

To lay hands on someone means to speak the gospel by the power of God. A literal translation for “the laying on of hands” is “the putting on of power”…look it up in a strongs concordance for yourself… ask Jesus what it means… the power is in the gospel. The gospel is the power of God unto salvation. Power to raise the dead to life. Power to heal the hearts of the sick. Power to forgive sins. That’s what real healing is. Christ in you heals diseases of the heart. Pride, lust, jealousy, hatred, etc. He overcomes and conquers all that stuff in us when we are born again.

To lay hands on someone means to share the gospel with them. To speak the words God gives you for them. To speak with power as led by the Spirit. The Husband (Christ) speaking while the wife (church, both men and women[thanks gianna for this rev!]) is silent. Speaking in tongues (mysteries/ spiritual truths). Laying on of hands (speaking truth as led by the Spirit). It’s all a revelation of the same thing. Christ living His Life thru a person. Christ in you. Speaking words of truth that set a person free from prison as led by the Spirit.

Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none (material things/works of the flesh/ outward kingdom); but such as I have give I thee (husband is speaking while bride is silent/ Spirit indwelling/ being led to speak): In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth (this means in the power of the Holy Spirit) rise up (from the dead/ be born again) and walk (By the Spirit). And he took him by the right hand (spoke by the power of God), and lifted him up (he heard the gospel and was raised from death to life): and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. And he leaping up stood (rose from the dead spiritually/ was born again) , and walked (by the Spirit), and entered with them into the temple (Christ is the temple… he is in Christ now), walking, and leaping, and praising God (yay!). Acts 3:6‭-‬8

  2. When Jesus delivered me from nicotine, He let me know that He alone is my deliverer/ healer/ provider, teacher, etc. The only person I need to go to is Him for everything, not a man.

That’s crazy someone told you that you had to go to her for healing. People at my old church wouod be so offended by what I just wrote. It’s the truth though. I remember a long time ago I heard someone say that everyone Jesus healed in the flesh was still gonna die and they needed to be born again. The flesh is dead and dying.

  5. I love that abt laying of hands and the true meaning of it. I love that too abt how Christ alone does it and has all the glory. Sometime when I pray for people, I say if u do it, may they know it was u that did it.. He dont need me to say it, but its so amazing when people know all things directly straight from Jesus and we can directly know Him.

That man who was crippled and then leaping reminded me of something. I found this vs, n really.. its as u said.. its speaking of all flesh within that is deaf, blind, lame, all turned out of the way, (like a dead man btw).. n His alone r the ears that hear, the eyes that see, the straight path n the new creation leaps 🙂

“Then the eyes of the blind will be opened and the ears of the deaf unstopped. Then the lame will leap like a deer and the mute tongue will shout for joy. For waters will gush forth in the wilderness, and streams in the desert.” Isaiah 35:5,6

  8. There is a deeper meaning to all of this. See all throughout the Gospels they were trying to lay hands on JESUS but they never could until the right time. And at time something very special happened. In the OT all sins were transferred to a pure innocent animal when the priest laid his hands on that animal. But it would never last. in The NT the Jews laid hands on JESUS first in the Garden and then the Romans/Gentiles laid hands on HIM. All the sins were transferred to HIM and all HIS purity was transferred back. AMEN

  10. I have been thinking about your comment for months! I just remembered in the Gospel of Mark, right before Jesus is led away, there was a naked boy in the story… I always wondered what the heck is a naked boy doing in this story lol I finally understand because of your comment! He dropped his linen and grabbed a hold of Jesus while naked and then ran off (laid his hands on Jesus nakedness meaning no righteousness)… like the scapegoat! Wanted to share! Thank you so much for sharing your insight!

And there followed him a certain young man, having a linen cloth cast about his naked body; and the young men laid hold on him: And he left the linen cloth, and fled from them naked.
    Mark 14:51‭-‬52

I was looking at that just the other day……I was thinking about the linen….why linen as it was supposed to be pure, but linen was also used to wrap the dead……He cast off his old dead man and put his sins on CHRIST!…. 13. Here it is…..JOB….HELL is naked before him….and destruction hath no covering…..ahhh and the pale horse rider….And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth…….I will look further about the CROSS……

  14. ok this is what I am getting…..Simon is related to an old word that means “to hear”. It is Shama, GOD hears. This Cyrenain, is the supremacy of the bridle, the one who leads. In a yoke there are always two, one is the older, yoked to the younger to carry a burden, to do the work. In Judges 1:3, Judah and Simeon (same as Simon) work together to destroy the Canaanities. Now it says Simon is the Father of Alexander and Rufus. Alexander is Defender of men. And Rufus means RED. The Father of the Defender of Men, and the Father of Red. Who is the Defender of men related to the rooster, or the cook, who is fresh mercy? JESUS. Who is Red, ADAMA, ADAM, mankind. Simon I believe is no other than GOD. “I will never leave you, I will never forsake you!” Oh Tatiana….so Beautiful is the WORD of the LORD……
